Dubai Kartdrome joins forces with Rotax UAE for 2022 O-Plate!

Dubai, UAE, 14 July 2021:  Dubai Kartdrome is excited to bring onboard Rotax as the title partner for the 2022 Dubai O Plate. After a break of almost 22 months the Dubai O Plate is back and will be taking place on the 21st and 22nd January 2022.

The Dubai O plate first launched in 2014 and quickly became one of the highlights of the UAE Motorsport calendar. Over the past six years the event has seen hundreds of individuals, including international drivers, compete across multiple classes.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with ROTAX UAE for the 8th Edition of the Dubai O Plate.  Rotax will be our official technical partner and main sponsor for the event.  We are confident our Competitors will be as excited as we are about the prospect of winning a seat for the 2022 RMC International Trophy, where the winner will then automatically qualify for the RMC GRAND FINALS 2022!” said Dubai Kartdrome Manager, David Bright.

Rotax UAE’s Guy Sheffield was equally enthusiastic about the renewed collaboration.  “We are thrilled to be teaming up with Dubai Kartdrome once again for the 2022 edition of the Dubai O-Plate,” Sheffield commented.  “As a one-off weekend in the middle of our regular motorsport season, and with a real festival atmosphere, the event is a highlight for both our UAE-based competitors as well as many top international drivers.

“With a full complement of Rotax categories on the programme this time around, a high quality organising team and some amazing prizes on offer we are confident that the 2022 O-Plate will be more popular than ever!”

The Dubai O Plate 2022 weekend follows a round of the UAE Rotax MAX Challenge which takes place 1 week earlier (14-15 January) at the same venue.

In addition to the incredible opportunity to win tickets to compete at the RMC International Trophy 2022, a host of amazing prizes await the Dubai O Plate’s top domestic and international performers.
