Dubai, UAE, 26 April 2018: A brand new circuit configuration and improved race format attracts the largest grid of teams in over a decade for the latest round of the Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship.
Thirty-four teams will be lining up on the new Links Circuit at Dubai Kartdrome on Friday evening to challenge 600 laps of endurance kart racing, the second round in the four-round championship of 2018. Racing will continue throughout the night, into the early morning hours and by 8.00am on Saturday victors will be crowned in the Pro, Corporate and Nations Cup categories.

Kartdrome Manager David Bright remarked, “Really looking forward to this weekend. We have the largest starting grid in the past ten years. This is mainly due to the new and much-anticipated Links Circuit. The configuration is very interesting and technical, which I am sure will present a few surprises for our regulars.”
The winners of Round One back in February, Bin Drai Karting Team, will be looking to take control of the championship, but they will face more competition than ever before. The 2015 Pro Champion, Dubai Falcon Racing Team, narrowly missed out in the last round and will be seeking revenge this time around.

Team Emirates is still on track to defend its Corporate category title with a class win in the last round. LD Russia will be looking to spoil the Emirates party in addition to grabbing the Nations Cup, given to the top team with drivers of all one nationality.

Along with the veteran squads, teams from around the globe will be coming to Dubai to compete in this iconic race.
“It’s so positive to see new teams flying if from Russia, the UK, France, Portugal, India, Saudi Arabia and South Africa for this event.” Bright added, “We welcome all of the drivers, crew and guests to Dubai Kartdrome to enjoy some fantastic racing.”
Round Two 600 Laps of the Endurance Championship will commence with the famous Le Mans style race start at 19.00 on Friday.
